Elena Smirnova is Project Manager at wiiw, where she is mainly responsible for project acquisitions. She joined wiiw in 2024 and has a background as a Regional Manager in the Non-Profit-Sector and a specialisation in the regions of Central, East and Southeast Europe. She has a university degree (MSc) in Geography and Regional Development Research from the Alpen-Adria University in Klagenfurt.
