SEE Jobs Gateway Database
The SEE Jobs Gateway Database is the result of a collaboration between the World Bank and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw). It covers a detailed set of labour market indicators for the six Western Balkan and four EU peer countries:
Western Balkan countries EU peer countries
* Albania * Austria
* Bosnia and Herzegovina * Bulgaria
* Kosovo * Croatia
* Montenegro * Hungary
* North Macedonia
* Serbia
The dataset is harmonised across indicators, age groups and educational attainment and is available on a quarterly and annual basis. It is based upon national Labour Force Surveys starting from 2010. The SEE Jobs Gateway Database covers four parts: (i) Key economic indicators, (ii) Labor market - LFS data, (iii) Labor market - administrative data, and (iv) Data on earnings and unit labor costs. Definitions, methodological notes and breaks in time series are provided in the ‘Metadata’ on the SEE Jobs Gateway Database website.
On the basis of this database, annual flagship reports - Western Balkans Labor Market Briefs - are published.
The SEE Jobs Gateway is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
