Tobias Riepl is Political Economist and PhD Candidate at wiiw. His research focuses on carbon border adjustment mechanisms, green fiscal policy, and Europe’s energy transition. He holds a Bachelor degree in Environmental and Bio-Resource Management from the Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and a Master degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He contributes to the research of the FIW (Research Centre International Economics) on issues related to global trade and international economics.
