Inclusion of data from EU candidate countries in FIGARO input-output tables and FIGARO National Accounting Matrix (FNAM)

Abstract

Commissioned by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), this project extends the FIGARO global input-output database to cover EU candidate countries not yet represented in its 2025 release. wiiw is responsible for sourcing and estimating national Supply and Use tables for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, integrating them into the FIGARO input-output tables for reference year 2023. In parallel, the project integrates all EU candidate countries except Türkiye into the FIGARO National Accounting Matrix (FNAM). All methodology is documented and made reproducible to support future updates by the JRC.
