Abstract

Austrian companies are among the most important investors in the Western Balkans. Much of the investment was made before the onset of the global financial crisis. The aim of this project is for the selected countries of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia to: (1) give a detailed overview of Austrian direct investment; (2) map the economic environment for Austrian companies locally; (3) formulate policy recommendations to support Austrian companies in these countries. The study will be written in German.
