Description

In October 2022 we lost our dear colleague, mentor and friend Vladimir Gligorov. He was a true scientist and civil activist, specialised in the region he came from - the Balkans.

To honour his academic work and his commitment to a future for the Balkan countries in the European Union, we are dedicating two high-level panels on Balkan politics and economics to Vladimir.

We are proud to announce that the following experts from the region will take part:

  • Ivan Krastev, Chairman of the Centre for Liberal Strategies, Sofia, and Permanent Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM)
  • Radmila Šekerinska, Vice-President of the Party of European Socialists (PES), former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of North Macedonia
