Description
The OECD Economic Assessment of Ukraine is the first output from an EDRC Policy Seminar, a new style engagement with globally important non-member economies. The report focuses on analysing the main drivers behind Ukraine's impressive recent performance and draws conclusions about the necessary reforms, especially concerning improving the regulatory environment for doing business, to make high growth sustainable. Benchmarking the regulatory environment according to the OECD Product Market Regulation Index is one of the core analytical instruments in this report. Further empirical analysis highlights the narrow base of Ukraine's external competitiveness.
