Description
The Schumpeter Society cordially invites you to the Schumpeter Lecture 2022 to be delivered by the French economist Philippe Aghion (Collège de France and London School of Economics and Political Science).
In his recently published book The Power of Creative Destruction (Harvard University Press. 2021) Aghion analyses some of the major issues of our time including climate change, increasing inequality, and the impact of the Covid pandemic. In his book, Aghion, together with his co-authors Céline Antonin und Simon Bunel, attributes a major role to the process of creative destruction as an engine for innovation and also as an answer to the major challenges and crises of our time.
Aghion’s keynote lecture will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session with the audience.
There will be a reception following the event. The lecture and discussion will be held in English.
