Trump 2.0 – All Change? Challenges and opportunities for Eastern Europe
20 January 2025 2:00 pm CET
3rd FIW Round Table: Focus Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe
Venue
Austrian Federal Economic Chamber | Hall 2 I Wiedner Hauptstraße 63 | 1040 Vienna
Description
Description The inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States marks a peak in global uncertainty. Trump is widely expected to unravel a series of transactional deals that could reshape the global economic and political landscape. Europe, and particularly Eastern Europe, stands to be significantly impacted. Few regions are as reliant on the United States for military security, energy supply, and economic demand. While it is broadly anticipated that economic ties could be strained through steep tariff increases, the future dynamics of military and energy dependencies are harder to predict. The FIW 3rd Round Table event aims to shed light on the potential challenges and opportunities arising from the policies of President-elect Donald Trump.
