In October 2022 we lost our dear colleague, mentor and friend Vladimir Gligorov. He was a true scientist and civil activist, specialised in the region he came from - the Balkans.
To honour his academic work and his commitment to a future for the Balkan countries in the European Union, we are dedicating two high-level panels on Balkan politics and economics to Vladimir.
We are proud to announce that the following experts from the region will take part:
- Ivan Krastev, Chairman of the Centre for Liberal Strategies, Sofia, and Permanent Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM)
- Radmila Šekerinska, Vice-President of the Party of European Socialists (PES), former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of North Macedonia
- Loukas Tsoukalis, Professor at the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po), President of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP)
- Branko Milanović, Professor at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York
- Mojmir Mrak, Professor at the Academic Unit for Money and Finance at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana
- Pavle Petrović, President of the Fiscal Council of the Republic of Serbia
