Peter Havlik was Senior Research Associate and former Deputy Director at The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw). His research has focused on the analysis of macroeconomic developments in Russia and other post-Soviet states, foreign trade, competitiveness, EU integration and EU relations with Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He coordinated various international research projects and recently co-authored studies exploring ways ‘How to Stabilise the Economy of Ukraine’ and ‘Challenges of DCFTAs: How can Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine succeed?’ Peter Havlik also worked as a consultant to OECD, The World Bank and EU TACIS as the Chief Economist at the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP) in Moscow. He worked also as a Guest Research Scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) during 2013-2018.
